Investment Philosophy
This fund tracks the Nifty Smallcap 250 Quality 50 Index, so it features passive management with no active stock-picking by the fund manager. The scheme is primarily invested in 50 small cap equity stocks.
The 50 small-cap stocks featured in the fund’s portfolio are selected on the basis of their quality score. The portfolio allocation towards an individual stock is based on the combination of the quality score and free-float market capitalisation of the stock.
Being a smallcap-oriented equity investment, the primarily goal is capital appreciation for the investor over the long term. The scheme will attempt to replicate the returns generated by the Nifty Smallcap 250 Quality 50 Index after accounting for tracking error
Portfolio Overview
The minimum equity allocation of the scheme is 80% and the fund manager can also choose to be completely invested i.e. make 100% portfolio allocation towards small-cap equities that are featured on the Nifty Smallcap 250 Quality 50 Index. The maximum debt exposure allowed for the fund at any time is 20% of the portfolio and that too in the form of money market instruments or equivalents.
