The Axis Max Life BSE 500 Value 50 Index Pension Fund is a passively managed pension fund that will attempt to mirror the performance of the BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index within the margins of tracking error. The portfolio of this pension fund will consist of 50 stocks selected from the BSE 500 Index universe on the basis of their value score.

This index pension fund will offer investors a high level of diversification across various market capitalisations and sectors as potentially undervalued stocks are not limited to any specific sector or market cap. This pension fund will maintain a minimum 80% equity exposure in its portfolio at all times. Additionally, the fund manager will have the flexibility and discretion to invest up to 20% of fund assets in potentially less volatile options such as money market instruments and cash.

This pension index fund, being passively managed, will be free of fund manager bias. The portfolio of Axis Max Life BSE 500 Value 50 Index Pension Fund will undergo reconstitution on a quarterly basis in March, June, September and December.   • Ensuring that the stock was traded every day during the reference period.

Step 2. Calculation of Value Score

In the next step, the individual value score of each stock that has passed the previous stage of filtering is calculated. The value score is computed based on 3 key financial ratios:
