  Normal Profit = Company’s Net Tangible Asset x Normal Rate of Return
  
  So, Normal Profit = ₹5,00,000 × 10%
  
  = ₹50,000
• Step 3: Calculation of Super Profit
  
  Super Profit = Average Profit – Normal Profit
  
  Super Profit = ₹54,000 – ₹50,000
  
  = ₹4,000
• Step 4: Calculation of Goodwill
  
  Value of Goodwill = Super Profit x Present value of annuity of ₹1 for 5 years at 10%
  
  Value of Goodwill = ₹4,000 × 3.78 = ₹15,120
