• UAN Portal - You can log in with your UAN and verify the EPFO claim status online. Using this method, you can easily know how your application is processing.
• SMS & Missed Call – You can get claim updates via SMS by sending a pre-written message or via their missed call service.
• EPFO Office – Alternatively, a visit or a call to your nearby EPFO office can help you with your claim status.

Enter your UAN (Universal Account Number), and fill in the Captcha code on the screen to log in. Once you are logged in, click on 'Track Claim Status' to view the live update on your claim status.

Check the EPFO claim status through these methods as follows:

Via SMS – Send EPFOHO UAN LAN (e.g., EPFOHO 123456789012 EN) to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number. ‘LAN’ represents the language code (e.g., ‘EN’ for English, ‘HI’ for Hindi). You will receive an SMS with your EPFO claim status update.

Via Missed Call – Dial 011-22901406 from your mobile number linked to your UAN. The call will disconnect automatically, and you will receive an SMS with your EPF claim status details.

These methods provide quick and convenient claim tracking.

• KYC Errors – Claims can be delayed by incorrect PAN, Aadhaar, or bank account details. Please double-check all of these details on the UAN portal.
• Employer Approval Pending – If your employer has not authorised the claim, its status will be shown as pending. In this case, you should follow up with your employer for timely approval.
• EPFO Verification Pending – After the claim has been submitted to the EPFO, it undergoes various levels of verification, which may take time. Come back after a few days for an update.
• EPFO receives a high volume of claims – If many claims have been submitted simultaneously, it may take time. Wait for the EPFO to clear their pending claims.
• Technical Errors – If the online portal is down or there is an error within the online system, your claim is unable to continue to the next step. Check again later, or simply open a grievance request via the EPFO's grievance portal.

The duration for settling an EPF claim usually ranges from 5 to 20 days after submission. The employee is required to wait for the claim to be verified. Claims submitted online typically process faster than those submitted offline because the former requires less manual processing. However, extended wait may also be due to submitted documents containing inaccurate KYC details, claim processing with the employer not having been completed, or a huge number of pending claims at the EPFO’s end.

If the claim settlement takes an excessive amount of time, employees can raise a grievance or take other steps to proceed.

• EPFO Helpdesk: Call 1800 118 005 to get help for your claim status issue. The helpline is available to address your questions related to EPF withdrawals, transfers, and delays in the processing of claims.
• EPFiGMS Portal: You can raise an online grievance regarding a pending or rejected EPF claim at the EPFiGMS portal. Make sure to include your UAN and claim particulars to speed up the process.
• Regional EPFO Office: You may visit the nearest EPFO regional branch office to address any issues related to your claim. You should take the UAN, Aadhaar, and bank particulars with you to confirm your identity and resolve any claim-related issues at the regional office.
